ADMINISTRATION

Medical Director
The Medical Director has direct responsibility for the organization and administration of the medical staff and its activities, and for establishing and maintaining the highest medical and professional standards in providing the highest quality healthcare to the inmate population. Delivery of healthcare provided by the Medical Director includes: attending patients; conducting sick call on days and times authorized by the Facility; reviewing and/or monitoring of all laboratory, X-ray, and ancillary reports; providing medical consultations for the medical staff and Facility officials; and, providing liaison for clinical matters with medical providers outside the Facility.

Qualified candidates must be a graduate of an accredited medical school with an M.D. or D.O., have current certification in a medical specialty and be currently licensed to practice medicine in the state where employment is being sought.  He/she must have a minimum of five (5) years experience in healthcare management and clinical practice.  Prior medical / surgical or emergency / trauma experience is preferred.  The Medical Director must possess and maintain current CPR certification and DEA licensure.

Health Services Administrator (HSA)
The Health Services Administrator (HSA) supervises multiple nurses, other healthcare professionals, administrative staff, and is ultimately responsible for the delivery of contract services, including supervising personnel and, budget management.

All HSAs must be a Registered Nurse (RN). Qualified candidates must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing, currently be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state where employment is being sought, and maintain current CPR and Medication Certifications. Qualified candidates must have a minimum of five (5) years experience in direct administration and management, preferably in corrections.

Director of Nursing (DON)
Under the supervision of the Health Services Administrator (HSA), the Director of Nursing plans, develops, and administers generalized nursing services. The Director of Nursing must have the flexibility to rotate hours, shifts and/or assigned areas and be available to be called upon to provide adequate coverage during emergencies, as needed.

Qualified candidates must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing, currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state where employment is being sought.  The DON must have a minimum of five (5) years nursing experience and direct administrative responsibility, preferably in corrections, and possess and maintain current CPR and Medication Certifications.
