DENTISTS AND DENTAL ASSISTANTS
Dentist The Dentist is responsible for developing and administering a program of preventive dentistry within the institution and participates in the integration of the dental program with other programs of the institution. The Dentist also provides in-service training for health staff members on appropriate issues such as dental hygiene dental care, dental emergencies and techniques.
Qualified candidates must be a graduate from an accredited Dental Medicine program, with a minimum of one (1) year of experience in general dentistry, and licensed to practice as a registered dentist in the state where employment is being sought. The Dentist will possess and maintain a current CPR certification DPS and DEA Certificate of Registration.

Dental Assistant The Dental Assistant assists the on-site Dentist with all aspects of the dental operation to ensure that safe and appropriate dental services are provided to patients with dental needs. Under direct supervision, the Dental Assistant performs non-professional work assisting the Dentist with patient care, instruments, supplies, and records.
Qualified candidates must be a high school graduate or equivalent, with a minimum of one (1) year experience as a Dental Assistant in a dental office with knowledge of general dental procedures and practices. In some states the Dental Assistant must be a graduate of an accredited Dental Assistant training program and have current X-ray certification and CPR certification.
